The first China Postnatal Metatechnology Conference was successfully held in Qingdao from August 25th to 27th. The conference was presided over by Li Shoulin, Deputy District Mayor of Chengyang District People's Government. Leaders and experts including Liu Xinmin, President of Qingdao Agricultural University, Zhao Jinshan, Vice President, Jiang Rongxian, First level Researcher of Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau, Secretary of Qingdao High tech Industry Promotion Center, Director of the Key Laboratory of Dairy Biology and Engineering of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Changjiang Scholar, Professor Zhang Heping, National Outstanding Youth, and Peng Chuantao, Chairman of Qingdao Yuanda Biotechnology Company, attended and delivered speeches. Nearly 20 top experts from all over the country, including academicians, Changjiang Scholars, National Outstanding Youth, and National Excellent Youth, gave wonderful presentations on "Basic Research and Industrialization of Postnatal Elements" and "Postnatal Elements and Big Health".

A major highlight of this conference isEstablishing the Chinese Postnatal Industry Development CommunityThis is the first innovation and entrepreneurship community in China that focuses on the development of emerging industries, indicating that China's emerging industries will embark on a path of collective, healthy, and benign development, and the development of China's emerging industries is poised to take off.

At the meeting, Li Shoulin, Deputy District Chief of Chengyang District People's Government, presided over the establishment ceremony of the China Postnatal Yuan Industry Development Community. To promote the healthy and rapid development of China's emerging industries, Qingdao Agricultural University and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University have joined forces with Beijing Ketao Hengtong Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Qingdao Yuanda Biotechnology Co., Ltd., China Resources Jiangzhong Pharmaceutical Group, and others22 leading enterprises in the industry have established the China Postnatal Yuan Industry Development Community, and at the same time, the Expert Committee of the Postnatal Yuan Industry Community has been established. The establishment of the community plays a positive role in promoting the research and industrial application of emerging elements, and promoting the integrated development between the supply and demand sides of emerging elements.

In May 2021, the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics released its first consensus statement on prebiotics globally, clarifying the definition and scope of prebiotics for the first time. In August 2022, the Chinese Society for Food Science and Technology organized domestic probiotic industry experts and enterprise representatives to jointly write a review titled "Research Status and Industrial Applications of Postbiotics". For the first time in China, a consensus statement on Postbiotics was released, clarifying the definition, efficacy, and scope of Postbiotics. From then on, China embarked on the era of Postnatal Generation 1.0.

Postnatal elements have various effects such as regulating immunity, regulating gut microbiota, anti allergy, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, as well as preventing dental caries and anti-tumor. In addition, the secondary generation element is safer and more stable, with a wider range of targets, and can be used in multiple major health industries such as food, skincare, healthcare, livestock and poultry breeding, empowering products. Therefore, the postnatal element is known as an excellent health effect factor, with prominent industrial application attributes, and will become a powerful lever to leverage the big health industry in the future. However, in the field of the big health industry, how to promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and achieve high-quality development is a problem that the government, scientific research community, and industry need to work together to solve. At the beginning of the development of the emerging industry, the establishment of the China Emerging Industry Development Community will greatly benefit the healthy and rapid development of the emerging industry, and has important practical significance for promoting the high-quality and sustainable development of China's major health industry.This not only creates a platform for communication, exchange, and collaborative development among member units of the community, but also enables the organization and implementation of cross disciplinary, cross industry, and cross regional demonstration applications, accelerating core technology research and development, promoting the integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and advancing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

The first China Postbiotics Science and Technology Conference was guided by the Probiotics Branch of the Chinese Society for Food Science and Technology.
